Two Dayak containers coming from the famous Nieuwenhuis expedition to Borneo

Collected by Nieuwenhuis' photographer Demenni and later on sold to artists Nieuwenkamp.

The smallest example with full aso-dog figure and hornbill figure and lid with circular motif with two aso faces in between.

The largest with very fine tatto pattern motifs and very nice detailed lid.

The lid of the last one is illustrated in Nederlandsch Indie Oud en Nieuw 1925 see extra pic.
