Batak Staf

A nice Batak staf or Tunggal Panaluan

carved with rows of ancestor figures , animal horns and snakes. Nice large top figure with brass eyes.

The top crowned with amnimal hair and cotton.

A multi color cotton cord is still attached.

Brought back mid 20th century by a German family who worked and lived a long time on Sumatra.
