Asmat panel from the 60's-70's

Around the 60's of the last century the mission began to encourage Asmat carvers 

to  pick up their tools again and make carvings for the art market.

This panel show such influence clearly by the use of the holy cross and the shape of the panel that symmetric and looks to be in inspired by church windows.
