Set of two very well designed Javanese  carved wooden deer heads.

They have real deer antlers mounted as hunting trophy.

Several small old damages and repairs ,very nice patina.

In the first half of the 19th century there where large populations of deer in West Java.

Hunting them was populair by local rulers and the Dutch.
