A mandau from North Borneo with lots of human hair bundles

​Lovely carved scabbard with mirror ( to frighten away bad spirits)

The blade is simple and convex. The antler handle carved with fine motifs.

Mandau's or (in case the blade is not convex) Gayang from North Borneo are often more adorned with long hair while often between the rattan there are red dyed parts.
