A nice mandau in very good condition , the hilt finely carved in Kayan style. The blade with inlays in brass, copper and silver.  The scabbard with some nice carved details , complete with shell toggle. The end of the scabbard with a beautiful aso detail. Sideknife blade is missing. Nice decoration on red velvet on the side knife scabbard. 

Such an aso at the scabbard end is probably developed during Nieuwenhuis stay on Borneo.
