Masai shield

Old Masai shield made of thick leather and wood.

The painting in special design with a small circulair mark what was only allowed for warriors who had shown bravery in battle. 

On the back a wooden handle showing great age and use. The strip of leopard skin has served probably as talisman.

Some light shrinking) but overall in very good condition.

Dating from first quart 20th century.

Size:  115 cm x 60 cm.

Price in euro  was 1450,- now 950,-
