Extremely rare mandau or "Parang Negara"

from the area around Banjarmasin with fantastic carved antler hilt.

The brass ferule with nice openwork details.

Very thick blade ( 11 mm!)  with " Usong But" the sharpened back edge.

Very nice scabbard with the typical red painted carved details inspired by Malay woodcarving.
