Superb "Parang Betino" with pierced openworked blade with inlayed silver foliate decoration, remains of black staining. The base and collar partly inlayed with gold lines. Sleeve of suaussa with gold overplayed tumpal motifs. Ivory hilt with five carved rings(one crack) the pommel with large crest in Palembang style.Possibly marine ivory.Wood scabbard with gold lacker, (much chipped) the back edge open to allow the blade to be inserted.
