Shield from Biak in the Chendrawasih bay.

Pianted in traditional style but on top the royal crown and on the right a horn-motif like it was in use by the Dutch royal house of Oranje. On the lower part the  name " Otniel Mambieu " and the name of the kampong " Anggadoeber" on Biak. The handle is separate made what is not uncommon on Biak shields.

There are two glued cracks, further good condition. Quite unique rare shield.
