Very old gong from Sarawak.

Gongs are playing an important role in Dayak culture.

Old gongs are ,besides that they where used during ceremonies and festivals,

also high valued trade objects.

This example has a very good old patina and even some light traces of polychrome.

This example has been brought to the Netherlands in around 1920.

​
