Extremely scarce heavy sword from Enggano.

The handle of superb quality with upwards curl crowned with a bird - or dragonhead.

The ferule of tin with some losses.

Heavy good, probably Chinese made blade with clear laminations and makers mark.

This example is comparable with the swords in the museum in Firenze collected by Modigliani,

Nice warm patina.
