Marquesas Club

A beautiful warclub from Marquesas or U'u carved from heavy ironwood

​The front and back carvings based on the traditional tattoo motifs  what is typical for later Marquesas art.  A comparable example can be seen  in the Pennmuseum 

​The club has a very nice glossy patina from handling.

Two small parts are restored.
