Banjarmasin Keris

A very scarce keris from South Borneo .

The hilt is  casted with lost wax technique 

and is made in brass workshops in Banjarmasin or Negara after

early models from North East Java.

The mendak with only a few inten left.

The blade with a sitting figure wearing a cap inspired by the uniform of an "adipati". or governor. The greneng in high relief ,probably once with the idea to the attach the usual brasswork decoration.
