Rare sword from the Karo Batak of Sumatra

This is a very old model what was probably for ceremonial use besides the more known Lopah Petwaran.

Very fine narrow silver hilt, the abstract makara shaped wooden pommel with silver and suassa appliqué . The blade with a very old nice patina.

Silver tip restored.
