A very complete Penai from Central Sulawesi

Good blade with laminations in original scabbard in silver wrapping with carved details

and red tassels with some brass bells.

The black horn hilt with carved details and some remains of earlier tinfoil, 

a feature from the times that the Toraja still went on headhunting expeditions.

A warrior who joined a certain number of expeditions was allowed to decorate his sword with tinfoil.
