A seldom seen  mandau from South east Borneo.

This type is the smaller type  mentioned in the article of S.W Tromp

This was in use till the mid 19th century when the southern tribes adopted the bigger heavier Kayan style mandau.

Very nice wooden facegrip with a rolling nose.

Simple blade but showing great age.

The scabbard with rattan stick aside.
