An Klebit Bok or hairshield from the Apo Kayan plateau in Central Borneo.

Made of carved wood and dyed with old pigment, inserted with lots of human hair.

The shield has beautifull central wavy rib and the handle is carved in a flamboyant typical Apo Kayan style.

Condition of the shield is very good.
