Highly scarce pandat-type from West Borneo, the smaller version of the big Pandat. The correct name should be Tangkin ( Schadee) (also the name Tangkitn is used )These swords where in use mainly by the Landak and Bidayu tribes togther with latoks and buko's. Not many have survived and if you find one they are mostly in a very bad condition. 

This sword (after revising) suprised us by the extremly high quality of the iron used and is possibly an import quality from India.On one side of the blade the bright lines of  high nickle layers are very good visable.
